Is any data stored on your server?
We only access the data during the conversion, no data is stored to a disk and only used in the runtime memory. After the conversion the memory is cleared and no data will be kept.
What happens if a conversion fails?
If a conversion should fail you can retry it for free or contact us for additional help.
How long does a conversion take?
This can vary based on the size of your notebook. Usually notebooks get synchronized in a few seconds but can take in some cases (e.g with a lot images) multiple minutes. In some cases, Microsoft may enforce certain rate limitations. In this case, the conversion will wait until the limit is exhausted (in such a case, the conversion may take 40-60 minutes).
What are limitations of the converter?
Notion has not exactly the same capabilities as OneNote has. For this reason hand-drawings can not be converted as well as colors will be converted to the best matching Notion color. Images in tables may also not work in all cases. Password protected pages cannot be migrated (remove the password first).
How are images handled?
Notion has a limitation that does not allow to upload images via it's API. Therefore all images in your OneNote are added to your OneDrive and shared with a secret url to Notion.
Which OneNote version does the converter support?
We support the latest OneNote online notebook version. Legacy or file based notebooks can be imported into the online OneNote version and then be converted as well.
